Pikaboo had all the ingredients required for children approval; cute, compelling and easy to animate characters, along with bright colour backgrounds.

Pikaboo tinha todos os ingredientes necessários para agradar às crianças. Personagens alegres e luminosos, fáceis de animar e cenários com cores vivas e vibrantes. Para esta serie, fiz essencialmente layouts, mas alguns planos foram também animados por mim, integralmente.

PIKABOO 1
Com o DEFENDERS OF LAW, mais um ciclo foi fechado. E outro iniciou-se.
Da GAMEINVEST transitei para a BIGMOON, juntamente com uma parte substancial da equipa. Fomos incumbidos de desenvolver e animar a série PIKABOO, composta por 6 videoclips musicados, para editar em DVD e destinado ao público infantil.
After DEFENDERS OF LAW, a cycle came to an end. And another cycle began.
From GAMEINVEST, I moved to another studio, BIGMOON, along with a substantial part of the team. We were tasked to develop and animate PIKABOO, consisting of 6 video clips for DVD release.

Os jovens advogados foram os primeiros a ser animados. O objectivo era que fossem dinâmicos, confiantes e agressivos. Iriam enfrentar um advogado de acusação cheio de estratagemas e teriam de estar à altura.

The five young attorneys were the first to get the animation done. They were supposed to be dynamic, confident and with an aggressive attitude, because their opponent was a sleazy and scheming prosecution attorney.

ANIMAÇÃO PARA JOGO DEFENDERS OF LAW I / DEFENDERS OF LAW GAME ANIMATION I
Concluimos o World of Zellians, com outro jogo na calha. O Defenders of Law era o próximo desafio.
Ao contrário do World of Zellians, o Defenders of Law pertencia ao género Hidden Object. A minha função era, essencialmente, a de dar vida a um grupo de jovens advogados em tribunal, a um punhado de testemunhas duvidosas que se iam alternando no banco de testemunhas e ainda animar um júri composto por personagens bizarras.
After finishing World of Zellians, another game was in the pipeline.
Defenders of Law was a Hidden Object game and my job as an animator was to make sure that five young attorneys were going to have their day in court, questioning a bunch of cunning witnesses under the sharp look of a very peculiar jury…

ANIMAÇÃO PARA JOGO WORLD OF ZELLIANS II / WORLD OF ZELLIANS GAME ANIMATION II
World of Zellians é 1 jogo de gestão/construção onde à medida que avançamos, vamos construindo casas, lojas, pontes, moinhos etc. A parte que me dizia respeito foi animar uma quantidade enorme de personagens. E alguns deles deram bastante luta. Mas o resultado final foi bastante satisfatório. Em baixo mais duas animações…

ANIMAÇAO PARA JOGO WORLD OF ZELLIANS / WORLD OF ZELLIANS GAME ANIMATION
Enquanto estava a trabalhar no GUISADO DE GALINHA, surgiu um convite (através da Irina) para integrar um projecto novo. A GAMEINVEST, uma empresa vocacionada para jogos interactivos mas também com um departamento de animação 2D, estava a recrutar uma pequena equipa de animadores para os seus projectos. Apesar de inicialmente estar destacado como artista de layouts para uma série infantil, fui recrutado como animador para os jogos 2D que a GAMEINVEST estava a produzir. O meu primeiro trabalho como animador de jogos foi para o jogo WORLD OF ZELLIANS. Juntei-me assim a uma pequena equipa composta por dois colegas e amigos de longa data; O Pedro Potier e a Ana Freitas, que chefiava esta pequena trupe.
